UCMG physicians within the Division of Plastic Surgery treat a broad spectrum of conditions that include congenital (cleft lip or palate, fused fingers), traumatic (facial fractures, dog-bites), neoplastic (defects following tumor extirpation), iatrogenic (an I.V. infiltration wound), infections (cutaneous necrosis from meningococcemia) or thermal (burns). Microvascular techniques allow not only replantation of severed fingers and other body parts, but also the ability to transplant tissue from one part of the body to virtually any other part where it might be needed. This includes, for example, using thigh muscle to restore motion to a paralyzed face and using scalp muscle to cover exposed, fractured foot and ankle bones. With a dedication to the treatment of infants, children and adolescents, our program offers a unique level of experience and expertise in pediatric plastic surgery. UCMG physicians in the Divison of Plastic Surgery also see patients in offices in Encino. Description of Programs and Services More detailed information will be available at a later date. PHYSICIANS
